Seven Signs of Jesus in the Book of John
The Gospel of John is a powerful narrative that reveals Jesus’ identity as the Christ, the Son of God. In this Bible study, we’ll examine these seven signs, each offering a unique insight into Jesus’s character and mission. Whether you’re new to Bible study or have been on your faith journey for years, this series will enrich your understanding of Christ and challenge you to grow in your relationship with Him.
What to Expect
This study is designed for individuals of all ages, from youth to adults, and is structured to last about 45 minutes per session. Whether you’re leading a group or participating on your own, these lessons will deepen your understanding of Jesus’s miracles and strengthen your faith.
Each lesson begins with a section called Leader Notes, offering context and historical background to help you fully grasp the meaning of each miracle. From turning water into wine to raising Lazarus from the dead, these signs illuminate key aspects of Jesus’ identity and invite us to respond to Him with faith.
In addition to the leader notes, the study includes a section called Focus, which provides optional introductory questions. Some may refer to these questions as “icebreakers” because they are intended to ease the participants into the study. In the Study section, participants will review the storyline, discuss details of the miracle, and reflect on the author’s purpose in hand-selecting the seven miracles in his gospel narrative. At the end of every lesson is an Apply section with the same three questions. Group members should be encouraged to select at least one of the questions to share aloud.
